U.S. news media has a liberal bias
Last updated 2004-07-22
News media, particularly TV, is the biggest financial benefactor of the current campaign finance system. Politicians must spend many millions of dollars to advertise to the public. Republicans vote predominantly against campaign finance reform, while Democrats vote for it. U.S News Media has a Republican bias because it profits most by keeping Republicans in office. Two out of every three "experts" interviewed on TV news shows are Republican.
Clear Channel Worldwide Inc., the largest owner of radio stations in the U.S. has close ties with the Bush family.
